Allwein The Daily News, Lebanon, PA Thursday May 25, 1989 LEBANON NATIVE KILLED IN CRASH Word has been received of the death of Regina H. Combs, a former Lebanon resident, who died in a traffic accident in Tampa, Fla. on Saturday, May 20, 1989. Mrs. Combs, 58, was a resident of Tampa. Her son, Timothy, remains in St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa, with injuries sustained in the accident. Tampa police were unable to provide details of the crash. Mrs. Combs was a Daughter of Howard H. Arnold and the late Mable Allwein Arnold. Surviving, in addition to her father and son, are a daughter, Terry Combs, Tampa; her stepmother, Viola Arnold, Lebanon; sisters Sara Arnold, Myerstown; Gertrude Trompeter, Lebanon, Catherine Parisi, Longport, NJ, Frances Emas, Philadelphia, Sister Agnes Leona, Pottsville, Rose Felty, Fort Washington MD., and Geraldine Peiffer, Schwenksville; brothers Howard H. Arnold, Jr., Lebanon, Joseph V. Arnold, Lebanon, Robert J. Arnold, Fredericksburg, William Arnold, Midway, N.C., Raymond P. Arnold, Lebanon. Allwein She was born July 25, 1919 Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, Pennsylvania MARY ELIZABETH ARNOLD Mary Elizabeth Arnold, 225 Walnut St., Lebanon, died Tuesday, June 7, 1983, in her home. She was 63 and had retired as chief accountant for the Lebanon VA Medical Center after 40 years of service there. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and had served in the Women's Marine Corps in World War II. She was a member of the Myerstown American Legion, and the Friendship, Frystown, Jonestown Perseverance and Mt. Zion Fire companies, Senior Citizen's Center of Lebanon, and was an active volunteer at the Good Samaritan Hospital, St. Mary's Church and the VA Medical Center. Surviving is a son, Thomas C. Arnold, San Jose, Calif., her father, Howard Arnold, Lebanon; her step-mother, Viola Arnold, Lebanon; sisters Sara Arnold, Myerstown, Gertrude Trompeter, Lebanon; Catherine Parisi, and Frances Emas, both of Philadelphia; Sister Agnes Leona, at St. Mary's in Lebanon; Regina Combs, Tampa, Fla.; Rose Felty, Washington, D.C.; and Geraldine Peiffer, Schwenksville; Brothers Howard Arnold, Jr., Lebanon; Joseph V. Lebanon Daily News, Tuesday April 4, 2000 Ivy Mae Alwine, 99, of United Church of Christ Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, Formerly of Johnstown, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, in Lebanon's Good samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Otto Lloyd Alwine. Born Sept. 17, 1900, in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Agnes Mosholder. She was a member of Annville Church of the Brethren and the Loyal Bible Class. Surviving are sons Clifford, husband of Lucy Hartland Alwine, and Paul, husband of Kathryn Hoffman Alwine; a brother, Frank Mosholder; and a sister, Anna Fuge; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Mosholder, and sisters Dorothy Hershberger, Clara Mosholder, Olive Cauffiel, Mary Hopp and Evelyn Vickroy. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at John Henderson Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, preceded by viewings from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Services will also be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.     2. Thomas F. Barry, was the son of Thomas F. Barry and Delia O'Day He was the husband of Bertha A. Allwein. His SS # 175-05-3239 Married Nov. 25, 1920 Marriage License # 029-270 Lebanon Daily News Monday November 17, 1969 THOMAS BARRY DIES; RETIRED MANUFACTURER Thomas F. Barry, a retired local manufacturer of children's dresses and a one time Pennsylvania State Policeman and an organizer of the former Lebanon Legion Drum and Bugle Corps, died Saturday afternoon in the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg. He was a resident of 813 S. Twelfth St. and he had been ill for a year. He was 73. A native of Lebanon, Barry served on the Mexican Border with Company D of the 109th Machine Gun Battalion and he later saw service in World Way I. He was with army units involved in the major battles in France. He was wounded in action. Following his return to civilian status after the was he joined the State Police and he served in that organization for two years. He was stationed at the Wyoming Barracks. After leaving the State Police he entered the employe of the Louis Baskind Company, a shirt manufacture located on Lehman Street. ORGANIZED COMPANY In 1942 Barry organized the All-American Dress Company, manufacturing children's dresses. When the firm's premises at Sixth and Willow Streets were destroyed by fire in 1952 he moved operations to North Eighth Street and the firm then became known as the Barry Manufacturing Company. He retired in 1959. Following World War I Barry was a founder of the American Legion Drum and Bugle corps here and he served as an instructor of that outfit which for a number of years was a leader among its type of musical-parade organizations. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society, Barry was also a charter member of the Fourth Degree Assembly of the Knight of Columbus, and he was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha A. Allwein; one son, Robert C., Palmyra, and three daughters, Elizabeth Anne, wife of Paul Murray, Wyomissing; Kathleen T., wife of Carl Rudegeair, King of Prussia, and Miss Marguerite H. Barry, at home. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Eisenhauer, Lebanon, and a number of nieces and nephews.
