Hi, my name is Adam Schofield and I've just signed up to the mailing list and thought I'd say a brief hello. I know I've met some of you before through email. I am currently researching my wife Rachel's family line which contains many Pennsylvania German families such as Arnold, Allwein, Eck, Zweier/Swoyer, Seifert/Cyphert, Schaeffer, Swonger, Schmidt, Zip, Wolf, Greth and a number of other direct ancestors. She is related to Hans Jacob Allwein through three different lines: Hans Jacob Allwein m. Katrina ? Catherine Allwein m. Joseph Seyfert John Seyfert m. Maria Magdalena Berger Joseph Seifert m. Maria Ann Arnold John 'Joseph' Seifert m. Elizabeth Arnold Ambrose Vincent Seyfert m. Isabella A. Arnold Mary Jane Seyfert m. Henry Jacob Schaeffer Mary Elizabeth Schaeffer m. Edward Bowman Sant Judith Ann Sant m. David Michael Strasz(ewski) Rachel Strasz m. Adam Schofield The second line is: Hans Jacob Allwein m. Katrina ? Conrad Allwein m. Anna Catherine Weibel Catherine Allwein m. Hermanus Arnold Maria Ann Arnold m. Joseph Seifert (line follows as above) The third line is: Hans Jacob Allwein m. Katrina ? Conrad Allwein m. Anna Catherine Weibel Catherine Allwein m. Hermanus Arnold Peter Arnold m. Margaret Rebecca Arentz Jonathon Arnold m. Elizabeth Greth Isabella A. Arnold m. Ambrose Vincent Seyfert (line follows as above) No doubt some of you will share some similar ancestors. For the moment, I will be a passive observer to some of the information being sent out, as being located in Seattle gives me limited scope to research Pennsylvanian roots. But I will chip in when I can, answer questions, and hopefully will be of some help to our research. We plan to move back to Scotland, where I am from, in a couple of years time so a trip to Germany is in order to do some genealogical research (along with Poland, Spain, Italy, Ireland etc.). I'd better start saving!! Anyway, I look forward to sharing information with you in the near future. Adam
