I came accross this information when trying to locate the father and grandfather of one "John H. McMillan, 1819-1897" in Alabama and North Carolina, discovering much incorrect information along the way. John H. was my great-great grandfather and his father and grandfather are the remaining two links to get me from 1132 to present...Odd that information from the 1700-1800s in the US is harder to find than the 1600s back in Scotland...
