I have actually written the National Archieves and received copies of the paperwork files with Jesse C. Bethea's land patents. I was looking for specific information on deeds filed in WIlcox Coounty courthouse. I am trying to find some mention of Jesse C. Bethea's spouse who I believe to be Elizabeth Henry. One reference I have viewed stated his deed was filed in drawer 30 and the courthouse says their deeds aren't filed that by drawers. Other publiclations have his spouse as Cynthia Henry.
