Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DU.2ADE/469.1 Message Board Post: David, I've done some research in Wilcox County and everything I've found is recorded in books - wills, probates, deeds, land records, marriages, etc. There are also lots of loose papers that are stuffed in drawers and cubbyholes (unless they've sorted these out since I was last there). There are no death records going back to the 1830s except for the records found in wills and probate Your best bet is to go there yourself or hire someone to do the digging if you can't get there.
