I have several old pictures of a place called Shawnee, AL. The people in the picture are a Jones, Hayden Hall, Dayton Stewart, Percy Middlebrooks, Alice Rhodes, and a teacher named Julia Buck. Hi, The community of Shawnee is located 4 miles east of Camden on county road 69. Society Hill Cemetery is located there. Alice Rhodes in the photo you mention is probably Mrs. Alice Hall Yarbrough, who currently lives in Camden, she is a retired schoolteacher. I am related to the Stewarts, and the Halls and Gastons were families in this community. There used to be a Methodist Church in the community, it was located about the place the community pool is located now. Do you have other photos? My family connection is the Wilkersons, Felts, Stewart, and Ray. I am related to Alice Rhoades. I believe that she and my Mother were first cousins. I have TATE, JONES, RAY & HASSELVANDER relatives buried in Society Hill Cemetery. My ggrandparents are buried there; I am namesake to my ggrandmother buried there with her husband, Frances Jones Tate, Sept. 12, 1855-Feb. 23, 1936 and Felix Asbury Tate, Jan. 2, 1850-Dec. 13, 1917. My Mother used to refer to "Aunt Buck". Hmm...
