    2. Would this Mathews be related to John D. MATHEWS (1820 - 1890) who is buried in Stewards Mill Cemetery, Freestone Co., TX? His wife was Sarah J. Mathews (1825 - 1880).     3. Mike, I am sorry to say that I do not know. I am related on the Handley side and know very little of the Mathews family. I do have the names of their children and there is not a John D. Mathews listed. Wish I could help.
