Other brothers and sisters may exist but I"m not aware of them at this time. I found this family while serching for the father and mother of William Brewer born 1829. Thanks for your help I have suspected that Peter and Lanier were Williams brothers but never any proof. Note; Peter Brewer In 1860 census was married to Sharlotte their children were Catherine age 15, Elizabeth age 13, Rebecca age 9, Eliza age 6, and John age 10/12 mt. Could this be the Rebecca who marrid John. I have at this time not been able to identify Elizabeth Allen.

Elizabeth's first husband died about 1836. He may have been William Sr. I have been assuming that all their children were born in Wilcox County, but have no proof. William's Brewer siblings were Sarah, Peter? and Lenon or Linnear?. Elizabeth had 2 children (Wesley and Mary) by 2nd husband, Johnson Gorman, and 2 children (Harriet and Fannie) by her 3rd husband, Richard Small. In 1857 Elizabeth Small and her daughter, Mary Gorman, sold land to William Brewer for $100. Henry Allen was present at the marriage of Elizabeth and her 3rd husband. I was guessing that perhaps Elizabeth and Henry were brother and sister?? From what you know about the Allens, is that possible?

Kim, some background... Nathaniel Robertson married Martha Harrison who was born in Georgia, Wilkinson County, I think. I am trying to connect Martha Harrison to James Harrison who married Delaney Justice. Dates and places fit; just need documentation. Abigail Morgan married Moses Harrison, brother, I think, of the above Martha Harrison. (NO documentation, but Martha has a brother named Moses and named a son Moses.) Abigail is the daughter of William/Joseph Morgan who married Abigail Ward. Abigail Morganwas born in 1771, Chatham, N.C., married Moses and Unknown Rains. I also have the following: Flora Morgan married William Lois Sims, born 1905. Sims family lived in Frisco City (Jones Mill earlier), moved to Florida. James H. Morgan married Mary Ann Austin, daughter of George Austin (born 1856). Austin and Sims families lived in Jones Mill and Excel, Alabama. Joe Morgan married Anna Stacey, daughter of James Monroe Stacey and Octavia Wagoner. James Monroe was born in 1844. Lived in Monroe County. Mary Landrum Morgan married John B. Riley, son of Jeremiah Riley and Mary Unknown Riley. Probably lived in Edgefield, S.Carolina. May have moved to Butler County??? Seth Morgan married Leila Langham. Leila is the daughter of Elias Nyde Langham and Ann Brown Langham. Ann is connected to my Wright family and lived in N. Carolina. See anyone familiar? They are not listed on 1870 or 1880 census, but records indicate they resided in Freestone County. The couple apparently had no children. The first meeting of Fairfield Masonic Lodge was held 3 October 1851. Dunbar Bragg was a petitioner and also the first Secretary for Lodge. Dunbar Bragg was appointed the first postmaster for the newly formed City of Fairfield 17 November 1851. He was appointed again 26 May 1854. On 19 August 1864 he was appointed the postmaster of Fairfield by the Confederate States of America. An act of Texas Legislature in 1858 created the Freestone County School Association. Fairfield Female College was founded by this association 13 February 1858. Dunbar Bragg was a member of the Freestone County School Association. Freestone County court in November 1856 appointed a committee of men to devise and draft a plan for a new jail. Wm. M. Peck, Dunbar Bragg, John Karner, and C. Yarbro were appointed. Her obituary from The Fairfield Recorder dated 24 April 1891 reads: “Mrs. M.O. Bragg died last Saturday night at the residence of her brother, Mr. J.H. McIlveen, of our town, after an illness of only 2 or 3 days. She had long been a resident of Fairfield, having come to this place from Wilcox Co., Alabama in 1850. She was the widow of the late Capt. Dunbar Bragg, the last surviving brother of General Braxton Bragg; a highly cultured educated lady and was a member of the Episcopal church; a good christian lady and loved by all who knew her. Her death is the fifth one in the family within the last three months, her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon of Groesbeck, both having died recently. Her remains were interred in Fairfield cemetery, Sunday evening. She was 66 years old.” **J.H. McIlveen was Martha’s half brother.
