    2. Don`t know who you were asking, but I have a James Morgan b about 1825, m to Mary Ann Evans b 1834, page 715 Wilcox County 1850 Census. This James died in the 1860s and Mary Ann married William Ricketts, also of Co B, and they are my gr grandparents. Are we related? Or are we just shirt-tail relatives? According to the census positions, there were Morgans, Raibons, and Sheffields all in a row . Would like to hear from you. --------------------Later------------Jewell

    3. You are so right!! The Wilcox woods are full of Morgans, Sheffields, Wrights and etc. My James Morgan was married to Eliza Sheffield and died in 1822. Looks as though we don't meet here but more than likely do somewhere along the line if we come from Wilcox County. You know we have a habit of keeping marriages in the family!! ----- Original Message ----- From: <Choctawjill@aol.com> To: <ALWILCOX-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2003 2:32 PM Subject: Re: [ALWILCOX-L] Re: Company B. 38th Ala. 2. Yes, that's the one - only thing is, Ida's name was Ida Bell, not Ida Rebecca. My Dad was 10 years old when Ida Bell died. He told me many stories about his childhood, and he always called her Ida Bell. She and Roland were on the 1900 census in Wilcox County. Her name on that census is Ida Bell. I don't know where the Ida Rebecca came from, unless her mother, Rebecca Brewer, was actually Ida Rebecca Brewer. Let's compare notes. I would love to correspond with another Morgan descendent. 3. Lou, I am related to the Morgans by my great grandmother Susan Morgan who married a James Wesley Harvell. Her parents were Martin Morgan 1796, and Cynthia Hare 1809. I think the Morgans and Harvells married quite frequently as I have searched the familys. My grandfather was James W. Harvell Jr and my dad was James Otis Harvell.
