    3. Hi Pat: Just read your message and wanted to write and tell you that I think it is very hard to find Hamburg Cemetery without directions and/or a map. I have been there twice but couldn't begin to tell you how. Just don't go on a rainy day. The cemetery is on a knoll inside of a pasture. You will have to walk about a city block through the pasture which was very muddy on the day I was there. There were also animals that I didn't want to meet. I talked with the man who had the home next to the cemetery who said that it would be best to get permission from the owners to go look. By the way, I descend from the Stuart/Stewart's and Chandler families in Wilcox Co. Hope this helps. 2. I know there are a bunch of Morgans in the area. The 1850 Census shows Mary Ann Morgan. When I followed it out, I find Mary Ann Evans Morgan with several children married William H Ricketts in late 1860s or 1870. They then had 3 more children, seen in the 1880 Census. Leona,Ricketts, one of those children, was my grandmother, which would make Mary Ann Evans Morgan Ricketts my great grandmother. Which James Morgan I don`t know, but in the 1850 Census when you look at the households in order of where they were geographically, there were other Morgans by them. Have I made it as clear as mud? Sorry, this is all I know. If you find any history on her James Morgan, I would like to have it, even though the Morgans before this marriage are not related to me. Good luck-------Jewell

    3. In my desperation to learn about my Roberson/Robinson/Robertson family, I have been reading inquiries in the Wilcox County List Archives. I had earlier found the marriage record below. N. J. Robinson is my gggrand-uncle who married Martha Harrison. Is Cornelia their daughter, a niece or? Then, I found the inquiry from Belinda, dated 1999, but "Belinda's" e-mail address is no longer valid. Nathaniel J. Robertson's mother was Elizabeth Bonner Rober(t)son, lived near Pine Apple, in the early 1800s. In later years, the Morrisettes were friends of my Roberson family.
