    3. Many thanks to everyone that has already responded; I'm very sorry I was not more specific with my prior postings. Microfilm in the Birmingham library only dates back to the 1940s for the Mountain Eagle and I need an obituary from 1901. Elvira Traywick Feltman was my ggg grandmother; she died 6/24/1901 at the home of her son-in-law (the O'Rears, if I remember correctly), in Haleyville, but the obituary was in the Mountain Eagle on July 3, 1901. She is buried in Files Cemetery. She was the mother of 15 children, including daughters Martha Jane (who married Files), Sarah (who married O'Rear) and Nancy Margaret (who married Burdick). I have a general transcription of the obituary and used to have a copy of the obit (I think) but I have looked for months and cannot find it. The Jasper library is not open on weekends and I was told requests were not handled via phone. I've got a good handle on the Kikers I was looking for, who moved from Walker County to Oklahoma, and now I am looking into the same thing for Manascos. I have seen information alleging that Catherine Elizabeth Kiker's first child, General Lee Kiker, was the child of John Manasco who was a farm hand on the property next to her home (they never married), and that some Walker County Manascos also migrated to OK. Catherine Kiker married and was widowed twice after that. but she stayed in Walker County. So I am looking for the Manasco Cemetery and any information on Walker County Manascos that moved to OK in the early 1900s. Thanks for any help on these two issues.
