A Memorial Service for George Blackston pvt. Company L. 29th Regiment Alabama Infantry the services will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at old Black Warrior Cemetary. We had planned on having a short meeting at the First Methodist Church building (our normal meeting location) at 2:30 P.M. and then departing for the cemetery. We have some reenactors and possibly an artillery piece lined up for the service. Although I helped erect the grave marker, my directions are a little sketchy at this time.
