John Kiker of North Carolina is in fact the first "local guy" of the Kikers I am seeking. He married Narcissa Nichols and they had about 10 children. One of the oldest girls is the Catherine Elizabeth Kiker I am working on, and the youngest child, Johnson Davis Kiker, is my great-great aunt's husband that took the family to Oklahoma. The Johnson Davis Kiker family ended up in Ada and Wewoka (Seminole County), Oklahoma. The family very thoughtfully managed to almost all be buried in the same cemetery, close together, with enough information on their tombstones that I have been able to figure out their connections. I have found more Kikers in Oklahoma and thereabouts, that came from Alabama, including Catherine Elizabeth's oldest child, General Kiker, who died a few years before his 101-year old mother. Catherine married and after being widowed moved to Jefferson County and is buried at Elmwood in Bham beside her youngest daughter. I would appreciate any information you may have on any of these people. sallie Message: 4 Date: Sat, 29 Nov 2008 11:33:02 -0500 From: "Delilah" <diamond6468@mindspring.com> Subject: Re: [ALWALKER] Hill/Kiker/Spain/Burdick To: <alwalker@rootsweb.com> Message-ID: <CFC4DCAC25BA442C8CA11CE0D966FC51@delilahs> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Do you know where in OK they went? Catherine Elizabeth KIKER was a twin to Martha Ann, b.June 6, 1859 in Winston County, AL. She married Rubin AVERY. In 1861 Johnson David KIKER was born, apparently he was the last to be born. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sallie Cox" <scox3876@bellsouth.net> To: <ALWALKER@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2008 8:30 PM Subject: [ALWALKER] Walker County Kikers/cemeteries | John Kiker of North Carolina is in fact the first "local guy" of the Kikers I am seeking.
