I am looking for information on my paternal gt. grandmother, LOUVINA CAROLINE JOHNSON, who married Sanford V. Argo on 22 Feb 1854. Her obit (death 31 Dec. 1921) states she was originally from Tuscaloosa Co as does her widow's pension info. I have not been able to locate any records re her Johnson family in the Tuscaloosa Courthouse. Of course, the Walker courthouse fires destroyed any marriage documents from that time. I have not checked the loose records recently filmed. She is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery. Her husband, SANFORD ARGO, died in 1894 and is buried in Sardis Cemetery. 1850 U.S. Census, Walker Co., Ala.
