Would your Cemetery Atlas for Alabama have anything for my grandfather, Jesse Albert Johnson that was buried at Empire in 1935? I have no idea of the cemetery name, and have had no results on prior inquiries. Also, my great grandmother Nancy (Nannie) Olinger Levi, died 1958 and great grandfather Riley Newton Levi, died 1902. The Cemetery Atlas is just a map for each county, and a list that refers to the cemeteries in that county and is numbered to reference as to their location - in the description of each cemetery, they do list some names that are related to that cemetery, those are not many - not the ones that died between 1908-1958 (Alabama Death Index) you should be able to get death certificates (There is a woman who will copy them for $3. the state charges $12.) and it should tell you the place of burial, now a lot of cemeteries around Jefferson County, Walker County that was where the mining communities were located, well those cemeteries are not kept up and a lot of them has just dissappeared.
