Hi! I'm a descendant of John Harvey Morris and Catherine Hubbard. William David Morris is John Harvey Morris' grandson....son of Green Morris. All I have on Seretha Jane Posten is that she was born in February of 1867 in Fayette Co., Georgia and died between 1900 and 1904 in Walker Co. Her parents were John Posten and Nancy Bearden. I also have that she married William David Morris in Walker Co. I have a good bit on the Morris's and the Hubbards.....glad to share! Let me know if you have any questions. Paula
Thanks, Paula You did share with me already and I am very grateful. I thought of another question I need answered, tho. William David Morris' 3rd wife and widow (Christine or "Tennie" Tidwell Morris) was my grandfather's (Wm Albert Tidwell) sister, and I know that she married a Snow after David Morris died in the early 1930's, but that he(the Snow husband) was not listed as a survivor in her obit in the middle to late 1940's. Would love to know his full name and a little something about him. Love it when the list comes alive! are you certain it was Ga? both Al and Ga have these counties. Bearden is a popular name in Walker, Winston and Shelby counties here; perhaps more. just happen to know about these. are you in Pa?
