Hello, I am looking for confirmation that I have the correct parents for an ancestor of my cousin. A while ago I was given the parents and some other ancestor information for Nomia Wright and I'd like some confirmation I have the correct ancestors for her. What I know for sure is that Nomia Wright was born in Carbon Hill Alabama 31 Jan 1893. She married Pete Agaliotis. She had five children with Pete Agaliotis: Nicholas 1916, Zoe 1918, William 1920, Louis 1923, and James 1926. She died 27 Oct 1928 in Sheffield Alabama at the Colbert County Hospital and is buried in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Possibilities: I have Meriah Kitchens as Nomia's mother and Lewis Monroe Wright as her father. I do have her death certificate and her parents are not listed...except her father's surname is given as Wright. Her birthplace is listed as Fayette County Alabama. Parents of Meriah I have listed as Richard Anderson Kitchens and Lucy Allen Woods. Parents of Lewis Monroe Wright I have as William A. Wright and Luzia Smith. I got the names Meriah Kitchens and Lewis Monroe Wright from a Kitchens researcher who knew about the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and told me these folks had a daughter named Nomia. I believe Lewis and Meriah had at least two other children, daughters Ida and Ada. I have NO concrete proof that any of this is for sure and I hate that!! Questions...if anyone knows.... Do I have the correct parents for Nomia? Does anyone have Meriah Kitchens in their genealogy study? Did Meriah have a daughter named Nomia (or Naomi or Nomi)? Were Meriah Kitchens and Lewis Monroe Wright married? Would a birth certificate of Nomia born in 1893 exist? Do I have the correct parents for Meriah and Lewis? Since Nomia was buried in the PGBC Cemetery was if possibly because she had most of her family in that area? Can I find a marriage certificate for Pete and Nomia since I don't have a date and only a guess on the year? More background: Pete Agaliotis married a second time to Edna Borden Hill (she divorced her first husband Mr. Hill and left their children in the care of her parents). Pete and Edna had two children Doris and David. David is my father. I'm trying to find information about Nomia out for my cousin who is the son of William Agaliotis. I'm doing an Agaliotis genealogy study for my family and would like to include the correct information for Pete's first wife. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Perrin Agaliotis Larton

I have a Mariah Kitchens (b) 1866 daughter of Richard Anderson Kitchens (b) 1835 AL (d) 11/27/1909 AL and Lucy Ann Wood (b) 1827 (d) 1903. I found Mariah and her family in the 1870 Fayette Co., AL census. I also have 5 other siblings for Mariah. Hope this is of some help Helen
