    2. Remember Paula these people were still pioneers moving into what was then the west. There were Indian trails and wagon trails through Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi to Texas. Not many frills. The trails to the Oregon Trail were much more advanced and still there are hundreds of unmarked graves and unknown burials along these trails. You might try the BLM records for Alabama and find some of your long dead relatives. That was how I was able to find the trail of some of my ancestors on all sides. **************Recession-proof vacation ideas.
