    3. Hi Teresa Just a few bullets for the moment. There is much more to be said, and a couple of questions, please. - Of The Ch/J Stewart, line I am of the line of their son Charles, who is supposed to have been the father of Larkin, Benjamin, Johanna, William, Reuben, etc, including my Solomon Stewart. I have yet to find any firm evidence of this, other than other family group sheets. - Ch/J George Stewart line is the mormon line, I think? There is a George Stewart Society out in the Utah area. As the editor of the Stewart Family Genealogical Journal for a few years, I got invited to a Sunday dinner at one of the family member's house, and was presented with the entire research boxes of Francis Mae Baker, who did a lot of work for them. I was awi inspired with the whole thing, but would up focusing on the fine dinner and the friendly atmosphere of the various members of the Society who attended as well. I may have some of the names of these folks in the pile somewhere. This goes back to probably 1997. - On the Larkin Stewart side, there is a [Linwood] Smith line in Fayette Co, AL, but I believe that is via the mother. Or, it's through Larkin's wife's side (Martha Parker). - The line of Reuben Clements / Benjamin Clements is captured in Tuscalloosa County Genealogical Group (morning group). Maggie {Sudduth?} is the owner of that line I think. {{{Billie, are you still there? Is Maggie still doing genealogy?}} - There is a NC Revolutionary War listing (regiment or company or something like that?) in one of the NC military like books, and it rang bells all over the place for my Aunt and I a few years ago. I have it in yet another pile. Seem like it had Charles Stewart, and a Clements, and an Utley, and one other perhaps. Just seemed too well gaggled together to be a coincidence, we thought. - QUESTION: Can you clarify your statements about Gibson County, TN? I'm about ready? Did you say $125? This line intermarried with the Clements, Utleys of NC and migrated to Gibson Co TN, Alabama, Utah. I believe they became Mormans. I have reason to believe, that if we found a Male descendant to participate in our Stewart DNA project, that we would have a possible match with 2 of our participants which already have their results posted. I have been researching the Clements line out of different VA counties for some time. One of those lines was allied with Ford, Shelton, Pigg, Ellison, Hurt and were next door neighbors to the William Stewart and wife Mary line of Amelia Co VA. Reuben Clements married Elizabeth Stewart the daughter of Charles and Johanna Kirk Stewart in Wake Co NC (?), they moved to Pendelton district SC after 1786. Their first born son was named Benjamin Clements. I think there is a strong possibility that Reuben Clements was the son of Benjami! > n Clements who lived until late 1750's in Amelia Co VA, by 1760 he is in Halifax Co VA. They may have moved right over the line to Johnston/Granville Co NC, which are the parent counties of Cumberland and Wake Co NC. Charles Stewarts land in Cumberland Co was right next to Johnston Co NC border line. I would like to hear from members of this line please. > Best regards, > Teresa Stuart de Rios > [email protected] > > > ==== STEWART Mailing List ==== > MSN is still experiencing intermittant bounce situation.
