    3. I have been looking for the names of my GGG Grandparents since the 1970's and today I found them. They were LARKIN KAY and ELIZABETH LANDERS KAY. I would love to find out more about them. For the longest time, I only knew the name of my GG Grandmother, EMMA MALISSA KAY LITTLE, their daughter. My great grandmother, her daughter, said that she was born in Tusculoosa, Alabama in 1862 or 1863. I know that she had two older sisters who married her brother-in-law, John Wesley Little. One of the sisters was a MARY KAY. I don't know what the other one's name was but I suspect that it may have been a MARTHA KAY. I know that Emma had a brother named ELIJAH KAY who was born in about 1861 in Alabama and a little sister named LUCY KAY who was born about 1865 in Alabama. Emma's parents evidently died when she was at least 8 years old because she was taken in along with at least Lucy if not the other children by the JOSEPH EARLY LITTLE family. They said that Emma was so young and yet trying to take care of her little sister so they took them in. Lucy Kay, her sister, was retarded due to running a high fever and she lived with Emma until Emma died and then with my great grandmother, Mary Susanna Salina [Mamie] Little Johnson until Lucy died. Lucy and Mamie are buried beside each other in Ft.Worth, Texas. I found my Joseph Early Little family in the 1870 census in Perry County, Alabama. Joseph Early Little and his wife Salina Dodson Little were my GGG Grandparents on the Little side. Next door to them in Perry County, Alabama in 1870 was an ELIZABETH KAY, age 45 and born in South Carolina. With her were two girls, MARTHA KAY, age 14 and LUCY KAY, age 5. Both girls were born in Alabama. I am wondering if the father, LARKIN KAY, may have died in the Civil War. I'd like to find out more about this family of Larkin Kay and Elizabeth Landers Kay. If anyone knows anything about them, I sure would appreciate the help. Is there anyway I can find a war record for LARKIN KAY in the Civil War from Alabama? Thank you, Jane Little McEndree [email protected]
