    3. I saw a post on the YERBY rootsweb recently that I believe to be incorrect unless there were two Jemima/Jemimah Yerby's who married an Elijah Holliman/Holomon. The text of the post was. "Old Robertson Cemetery, Northport, Tuscaloosa Co., AL, Jemima Yerby, 1777-Dec. 1851 age 74 years, married Elijah Holomon.". Supposedly, this was a copy of an inscription on a gravestone. My ggg grandparents, Amon and Rachel Yerby's oldest child, Jemimah b. 1817 in NC married Nathaniel Elijah Holliman/Holomon on March 24, 1837 in Tuscaloosa Co., AL. They were counted on the 1850 Marion Co., AL census - Elijah Holliman age 36, Jemimah age 33, Rachel age 8, Mary (Frances) age 5. On the 1860 Marion Co. AL census - Elijah age 46, Jemimah age 43, Rachel age 18, Mary age 15, William M. ("Bud") age 4. According to family tradition, they left AL and moved to TX. I have no record of where they were residing or counted on the 1870 (census). They were counted on the 1880 Collin Co., TX census in Precinct 4. (Source: FHL Film 1255296 National Archives Film T9-1296 Page 174C.) Elijah Holliman Self age 64, Jemima Wife age 63, William M. Son age 23, Laura Dau.-inl-law age 24, Martha Granddaughter age 1. I have no other info about the daughters, Rachel and Mary, after the 1860 Marion Co., AL census. Again, according to family tradition, the son, Wm. M. "Bud", moved back to AL, time unknown. MAYBE Elijah had died and Wm. M. moved his family and his Mother back to Tuscaloosa Co., AL and when Jamima/Jamimah died, she was buried in Old Robertson Cemetery in Northport, AL and her birth and death dates were not legible on her gravestone. If the gravestone inscription is correct, this is not Jemimiah, the daughter of Amon and Rachel Yerby. Amon was not born until 1784. If ANYONE can confirm or deny the info on the gravestone or share info on this Elijah and Jemimah Holliman/Hollomon family, I will be very grateful. Maybe some of the Holliman/Holloman family researchers could help me with this question.
