I have found so far , my great grandpapa has been married three times. Joseph Ryan Waldrop married to Nancy Heard Children: Stephen Franklin and Georgia Ann Waldrop Dr. Joseph R, Waldop married Victoria Thomas Children: Anna Francis and Joseph Mark Henry Waldrop Joseph Ryan Waldrop ( Minister, Physician, Justice of the Peace, State Rep. of Washington County, Alabama 1869-1870) married Sara Ann Baxter Children: James Harry and Joseph Rian Waldrop. All three have been tied together by, Journals, letters, census, deeds, obits , marriages, and other information. Trying to rule in or out......J. R. Waldrop, Born 1835--about-Tipah County, 1860, Physician , born in Georgia, ---Sand location, County, birth..... This J. R. Waldrop has a wife and three children. J. R. Waldrop Tippah County, Mississippi, age 37 1860 census. wife......name smeared..cant read it. age 29, Born 1831 Children: Emily , Born, 1851 Isaac Born 1853 William J., 1855 Elizabeth, 1857 I haven't heard form this family in from Tippah County, Mississippi. The three wives above are connected. Has anyone else's ancestors been married to my great grandpapa? First two wives it appears he walked off and left and with my great grandmother....the buck stoped there.....he was shot and killed in Washington County. So the stories goes.........We can't find anywhere mentioning him being killed. With him being a State Rep. of Washington County, I would have thought he would have been written about. He was quite vocal among the Carpet Baggers and beat up the Judge of Probate. He wasn't a quite man. J. R. roamed around after he left Georgia as a teenager, moved to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, with his parents and other relatives, then to DeSota/Tate County,,,,,in and out Pontotoc County, Mississippi; Moved to Matagorda County, Texas back to Mississippi then down to lower Alabama. He was known as educated, carried himself well , handsome, had a wonderful warm personally. Wouldn't surprise me if the ole Scalawag.....didn;t have another wife or two. He either Love em and leave em or......had bad luck with marriages His papa's will does't sound like he to happy with his son.. Stories go, he was a wonderful minister.....and great church services. Looking forward for any informatin from anyone who is related to my J. R. Waldrop. There are alot of half cousins n this family. Sandra (Sandra Waldrop Doolittle)
