I'm continuing to search for PATTON, McGEE, LINDSEY, and BOSWELL surnames in Tuscaloosa County, but thought I'd take a little different angle at it this time and look for some 'more recent' ancestors... Looking for - Oakley PATTON (b. Aug 1909 d. cir 1949). Family lore says that he played semi-pro baseball in Alabama and died mysteriously--perhaps in Birmingham. - Dexter PATTON (b. cir 1904 d. cir 1940). Family lore says he died in a vehicle accident. Both were born in Tuscaloosa County and are the sons of Elijah Andrew PATTON and Mary Catherine LINDSEY, m. cir 1899 in Tuscaloosa County.
