Hello Listers! I am looking for information concerning John Styers wife; Mahala. In later census records she is found in the home of her daughter Elizabeth ( Lizzie ) Griffin in Hale county (1900) with the last name of Beck. There is another daughter living with her named Mahala also and going by Beck rather than Styers. I'm not sure if she remarried or if she reverted back to a maiden name possibly. Any help finding a marriage license or something to indicate her maiden name would be greatly appreciated!
