Hello Bob, Yes Susan was the Daughter of Alsea and Mildred (Frey) Holifield do you know if the Frey name was N.A. I have some info that says the Frey name was connected to Red Eagle ?? I have a picture of who I think could be Susan Ann Holifield Foster ?? as it was made in the same place as one of John L.S.Foster. Thanks Jim Foster Alsea Holifield Sen (don't know whether this means Senior or Senator) Nov 30 1779 - Jly 28 1857 Aged 77 Years -7 Months - 28 Days Mildred Holifield Wife of Alsea Holifield Jly 7 1782 - Nov 25 1856 Aged 74 Years - 4 Months - 18 Days
Alsea and Mildred were my 4th grgrandparents through their daughter Elizabeth A. C. (wish I knew what that stood for). The only thing I have on the Freys is Benjamin Frey and Mary Johnson, parents of Mildred. I have jnothing else on them. Have a good deal more on the Holifields (Holyfields). I am VERY interested in the Fosters too. I have several lines that all contain Fosters. Elizabeth Emeline Foster marr. James Cardwell. Elizabeth is my 3rd grgrandmother. I believe her father and grandfather were both William Foster but from New Jersey. Not sure of that connection at all. I also have a Col. Benjamin Foster's dtr. Elizabeth marr. Col. William Rives, another one of my lines. I have an Annie Foster, b.abt 1883, marr. Robert Lee Stevens from Chickasaw Co., MS. another of my lines. Back to Alsea and Mildred.......those are the dates I have as well as death location : Auburn, Lee Co., Al.; bur. Pine Hill Cemetery, Auburn Alabama. They married Jan. 10, 1799 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia. I would be interested in tracking down the Freys as well. Not familiar with the connection to Red Eagle. Could you send me more on that?
