According to family trandition my great grandmother was Adelia WEAVER who married George Weaver WATTS, s/o Daniel Henry WATTS and Dorothy Elizabeth WEAVER. However their marriage license in Tuscaloosa County shows George Watts marrying Adelia REED. Adelia was born 20 Oct 1863 in Tuscaloosa Co. The marriage took place 7 Jan 1883 "at the home of Mrs. Lucintia [Letisia] WEAVER." The couple moved to Bibb Co. I am convinced that Adelia was raised in the home of William Dempsey WEAVER and Letisia HUDSON Weaver. Letisia was probably previously married for a brief time to a Mr. REED. The marriage license suggests that Letisia was Adelia's mother and I found in an earlier census that William D. and Letisia WEAVER had a daughter Addie of about the right age. Can anyone help me with the marriage of Letisia Hudson(?) and a REED? I am also interesting in contacting any WATTS descendants from Tuscaloosa or Bibb counties.
