Carolyn Pruitt Hawkins has given to the Northeast Alabama Genealogical that is housed in The Nichols Memorial Library in Gadsden, her marriage book for Etowah County. It is the marriage records prior to 1900. There is over 6000 marriage records in it. The book is indexed by groom and by the bride. A very good research tool for this area.
