    1. [ALTUSCAL] NORWOOD-BROWN families early-mid 1800s
    2. Hello, I am new to the list and am searching for info on the following families: Parents of Sarah "Sally" Caroline BROWN b 1813 TN d aft 1860 MS, m in Tuscaloosa County, AL: Theophilus NORWOOD b 1809 Ninety-Six Dist, SC d aft 1870 m above on 10 Sep 1828 in Tuscaloosa Co, AL There is much confusion in regard to the above Theophilus NORWOOD as there were several. One moved to Choctaw County, MS and is there on the 1850 census, the one above (my line) moved to Ittawamba County, MS and is on the 1850 census there. Were also charter members of the Center Hill Baptist Church there in Ittawamba (now Lee County, MS). My line, Theophilus NORWOOD, moved to Choctaw (became Sumner, then Webster Co, MS) prior to 1860 and there are two listed there with the same name, Theophilus NORWOOD, but have different children's names. My g-g-grandmother is the dau of Sarah "Sally" Caroline BROWN and Theophilus NORWOOD who m in 1828 in Tuscaloosa County, AL, she is Serena/Sarena J NORWOOD who m #2 Dr William Littleberry STOVALL and lived in Webster County, MS in the Bellefontaine community. Webster was first Choctaw County, then Sumner County, then Webster County. My Theophilus NORWOOD is the son of Richard NORWOOD b 1782 VA, and Mary SMITH. Any help and/or information on the BROWN and/or NORWOOD family would be greatly appreciated, willing to share information. J Parker
