Anyone doing research on the FIKES/FYKES? I am looking for the parents of DIXIE FIKES, b. 1893 d. 1923, aft childbirth.....she was the wife of THOMAS HULL FOSTER, SR. b. 1890 d. 1961. Thomas remarried to Lula A. Toomey. They all are buried at Coaling Baptist Cemetery, in Coaling, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. There are other Fikes buried there, Daniel Fikes, who I believe could be the grandfather of Dixie. There is a Henry Calhoun Fikes, William T. Fikes and John T. Fikes.....they are the sons of Daniel.....so, which one could be the father of Dixie....some where in my data there is a Lillie Dixie Fikes b. abt 1886 that married James Edmond Deason Bracknell....her Parents was George & Elizabeth Hobson Fikes... Thomas Hull Foster's father John Foster was the husband of my great grandmother's sister Levina Black.... I know the connection is in the right directions, but wandering if anyone else have anything?
