Hi, I cannot help you directly, but wish to at least let you know that my ancestor, Solomon B. Stewart, moved to Perry Co., AL in the late 1820's, and I can't help but believe that there may be a distant, remote connection. Solomon had come from Lincoln Co. TN in the late 1815-20 timeframe, moving into Marion County around 1820-1821, thence to Tuscaloosa County around 1824. Whether or not he 'moved' to Perry County, or was in Tuscaloosa County and perhaps it changed to Perry, I don't know. I have always (without any evidence) suspected that they moved over to Perry County due to ill health or death of Solomon or his wife's parents. Also, Solomon's daughter Mary and Allen Avery took out a marriage license in Perry in 1831. Any idea what vocation Jehu was in? Farming? cheers, Dick Stewart ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Anne Wise" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 24, 2002 1:44 PM Subject: [STEWART] Andrew J.
