Hi, BPS! Sorry, I do not know much about My Sanders/saunders yet. Only think I have is that Nancy A. SANDER/SAUNDERS was born in Georgia (probably somewhere around carrol county, georgia, or Cherokee, Georgia)and her parents were born in South Carolina. It is suspected that her father could be Stephen Sanders/saunders. Her sister Narcissus married James M. Carnes the brother of her husband, Green Berry Carnes. Nancy and Green Berry Carnes were married inCherokee County, Alabama. and I was told that Nancy could be full-blood Cherokee....but know proof yet. Wish i could be more of help. Kim I have an Mary Evaline Odom Wood who married a George Sanders...is there any relation? Thank you BPS , in NC

If you would like one contact me and I will get you the address as to where you can order it from and also get your name on the list as at this time we have only 36 to sell. You are invited to a special meeting of the Autauga Genealogical Society on Sunday, August 17th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Probate Office of the Autauga County Courthouse in Prattville, Alabama. Probate Judge Al Booth has been gracious to offer the availability of the records room for us on this date. The program ("hands on") will be led by members of the Society. It will include research methods in Probate offices and use of the microfilmed "Loose Papers", now available in a number of counties in Alabama. The Probate Office is located one block north of the Courthouse on the corner of Court St. and 5th St. in downtown Prattville, across from the offices of DHR and Public Health You do not have to be a member of AGS to attend our meetings. Sorry, I made a mistake on Pleasant LEE's birth. I put 1831 and it was ca. 1861. Susan
Searching for information on my gr.grandfather, Pleasant J. LEE, b. ca. 1831, AL, married around 1885, to Lula BOWLES, b. ca. 1864, AL. Just found a Pleasant LEE, age 9, on the 1870 Tuscaloosa Census, North River. Head of household, James LEE, 38 and wife Caroline LEE, age 44, and Belle LEE, age 1. This is the only information that I have on this family. Couldn't find them on the 1880 Census. Lula L. M. , BOWLES , age 15, was on the 1880 Tuscaloosa Census, Coaling Station, living with her brother, Americus Bowles, A.M., and his wife E.D. BOWLES, and their son E.A. BOWLES. Pleasant P.J. LEE and Lula BOWLES LEE were on the 1920 Montgomery Census. Does anyone have any information on the LEE's ? Thanks, Susan
