According to info I have just received, Demsey Bonner, son of Lt. Benjamin Bonner and Frances Unknown, of Spartenburg, S. Carolina, died in Tuscaloosa and his will was recorded on May 12, 1815. My gggrandmother was Elizabeth Bonner Robertson. I am trying to learn if Elizabeth was a niece of Demsey Bonner's. Demsey's father was Benjamin Bonner. Any info about these people or suggestions for research would be appreciated. According to family trandition my great grandmother was Adelia WEAVER who married George Weaver WATTS, s/o Daniel Henry WATTS and Dorothy Elizabeth WEAVER. However their marriage license in Tuscaloosa County shows George Watts marrying Adelia REED. Adelia was born 20 Oct 1863 in Tuscaloosa Co. The marriage took place 7 Jan 1883 "at the home of Mrs. Lucintia [Letisia] WEAVER." The couple moved to Bibb Co. I am convinced that Adelia was raised in the home of William Dempsey WEAVER and Letisia HUDSON Weaver. Letisia was probably previously married for a brief time to a Mr. REED. The marriage license suggests that Letisia was Adelia's mother and I found in an earlier census that William D. and Letisia WEAVER had a daughter Addie of about the right age. Can anyone help me with the marriage of Letisia Hudson(?) and a REED? I am also interesting in contacting any WATTS descendants from Tuscaloosa or Bibb counties. does anyone have any information on this couple? a careful search of the 1840 census in Alabama discloses them as the only likely parents for my great, great grandfather. no trace of them after that has been found, and I can only discover Lewis as a husband to Carolina in the marriage records and in 3 data files at WorldConnect, but without any children. the 1840 census for Tuscaloosa, Alabama lists the family as Collins, Lewis D. 220001000000021000100000 2 males 0-5, 2 males 5-10, 1 male 30-40 2 females 0-5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 30-40 my information is that my gr., gr grandfather, Francis Collins, was born in 1832 (male aged 5-10) (near Birmingham) and had a twin brother born 2 days after him (2 males aged 5-10) of the 15 Collins families in the 1840 census in counties surrounding Birmingham, Lewis' family is the only one with two males aged 5-10 years of age. in 1850, there is no Lewis or Carolina Collins. my information is that Francis' parents died when the boys were "quite young", and if Lewis and Carolina died before 1850, that also would fit the family story. I truly appreciate any help finding out whether or not Lewis and Caroline are my ancestors. blessings, Cornelia Oregon -- Norton Antivirus protected

How is this Pace family connected to the Hardy Pace family of Atlanta, GA? Alice
Alsea and Mildred were my 4th grgrandparents through their daughter Elizabeth A. C. (wish I knew what that stood for). The only thing I have on the Freys is Benjamin Frey and Mary Johnson, parents of Mildred. I have jnothing else on them. Have a good deal more on the Holifields (Holyfields). I am VERY interested in the Fosters too. I have several lines that all contain Fosters. Elizabeth Emeline Foster marr. James Cardwell. Elizabeth is my 3rd grgrandmother. I believe her father and grandfather were both William Foster but from New Jersey. Not sure of that connection at all. I also have a Col. Benjamin Foster's dtr. Elizabeth marr. Col. William Rives, another one of my lines. I have an Annie Foster, b.abt 1883, marr. Robert Lee Stevens from Chickasaw Co., MS. another of my lines. Back to Alsea and Mildred.......those are the dates I have as well as death location : Auburn, Lee Co., Al.; bur. Pine Hill Cemetery, Auburn Alabama. They married Jan. 10, 1799 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia. I would be interested in tracking down the Freys as well. Not familiar with the connection to Red Eagle. Could you send me more on that?
