Since Lacks bought 2 adjoining parcels in 1837 and 1839 (the 3rd parcel, in Section 13, not until 1851), I'm assuming he lived on the 2 parcels in Section 24 of Twp 22N, Range 22E: the SE and NE quarters of the SW 1/4 of the Section. The other way takes a lot longer: find the record of when he or his widow sold the land, then find when that purchaser sold it, etc., down to the most recently recorded sale, all through the indexes. BTW, for anyone interested, I found the record of which parcels he bought on the BLM Government Land Office site at http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ I chose "Search Documents", then filled in the state and county, and Solomon Lacks' name.
