I am searching for a Baptist minister, Rev. George W. Scoggins (or Scroggins) who married Rachel Butler in Tallapoosa Co. His brother, Charnel W. Scoggins was my great grandfather. Both George and Charnel were converted to Christianity at the old Ebenezer Church near Stanton, Ala. about 1839. I wonder if this George W. was the same man who attended and served the Flint Hill Baptist Church in Coosa Co about 1850. Did he leave the country? All help will ge greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
