Hi All: I am looking for info on a ggggrandmother of mine named MARTHA TAYLOR YATES. She was born about 1847 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, and died May 12, 1890 in Rusk County Texas. She married JOHN WILSON PEPPER on Oct 31, 1867 in Tallapoosa County. Family lore has it that she was a Native American or part Native American and I would like to know about her family and what tribe she might have been related to. MANY thanks for any help!
