Hello, I am seeking information and long-lost cousins. This is lengthy but I tried to include all of the clues and information I have. 1.....William S. King (About 1820 - ) & Rhoda Ann Fitts (About 1820 - ) 2.....Elizabeth King (1845 - ) 2.....John Oliver King (1846 - ) & Margaret Jane Lamberth (Dec 1844 - About 1895) 3.....William Edwin King (12 Aug 1870 - 20 Dec 1919) & Mamie Beck Everett (2 Jul 1888 - 7 Nov 1966) 4.....Margaret Elizabeth King (Apr 1912 - Nov 1988) & Tom Price Thompson 4.....William Edward King* (23 Nov 1915 - 1964) & Mabelle Ogletree William Edward King* (23 Nov 1915 - 1964) & Geneva Faye Gray (7 Jan 1938 - ) 5.....Lynn Marie King (25 Oct 1955 - ) & Dale Andrew Shirley (18 May 1956 - ) 4.....John Everett King (28 May 1919 - 22 Jul 1967) & Mary Thomas Perry 2.....John Oliver King (1873 - ) 2.....George King (1875 - ) 2.....Mary N. King (1849 - ) 2.....William King (1850 - ) 2.....Elijah Raeford King (1852 - ) 2.....Hana King (1854 - ) 2.....Joseph King (1854 - ) 2.....Josh King (1856 - ) 2.....George King (1860 - ) 2.....Henry C. King (1862 - ) Notes: Generation 1 William S. King was born in GA. The first record I can find is the marriage of William S. King to Rhoda Ann Fitts (d/o John Fitts and Jenny DePriest of Elbert Co, GA) on Sept 22, 1841 in Cass (now Bartow) Co, GA. Interestingly, Keziah Fitts, sister of Rhoda married Alfred C. King on same day in same county. Their family is as follows: Alfred C. King (1818 GA- ) & Kesiah D. Fitts (1828 - ) Franklin B. King (1842 GA - ) John W. King (1844 GA- ) Eliza J. King (1847 GA- ) James T. King (1850 GA- ) Lou King (1851 GA- ) Susan A. King (1853 GA- ) Wiat O. King (1859 GA- ) I can not determine if Alfred and William S. King are related or not. It was not uncommon for siblings of one family to marry siblings of another. I have not located William and Rhoda on any census in 1850 but found them in Cass County in 1860. I found Rhoda Fitts King and her younger children living next door (?) to John Oliver King and Margaret Jane Lamberth King in Cleburne Co, AL. on 1870 Census. Generation 2 All of the children were born in Georgia. I can not find the marriage record for John Oliver and Margaret Lamberth King. Margaret Lamberth is the d/o of Edwin W. Lamberth, Jr and Susan Ann White of Tallapoosa County, AL. Edwin was was born in Jasper Co, GA and Susan was born in SC. Margaret was born in AL. John and Margaret seemed to move frequently as their first son was born in AL in 1870, second son born in AR in 1873, and third son born in LA in 1875. I found Margaret and her sons living with her parents in Tallapoosa Co, AL in 1880 census. Family legend is that John Oliver left for TX to find work, a home, etc. and never returned, or that Margaret died before he returned and her parents continued to raise their sons. Margaret was a school teacher before she married, and then when she returned to Tallapoosa Co, AL. Generation 3 William Edwin King married Mamie Beck Everett of Washington Co, GA. I do not have a marriage record, but I seem to remember hearing that they met in Effingham Co, GA or Chatham Co, (Savannah, GA) while Mamie was teaching and William worked for the railroad. Mamie is the d/o of Harris Joseph Everett and Lelia Elizabeth Massey of Washington Co, GA. The 1920 census shows her father and youngest brother living with her and her children in Effingham Co., GA. I have heard that one of William's brothers married a woman named Doris who is either from Coweta Co, GA or is buried in Coweta Co, GA. Generation 4 My father William Edward King married several times after he and my mother divorced in 1958, Some may have been common-law. He boxed as am amateur (?) aka "KO Joe" in his youth and went by the name Bill King. I did not list his two sons by his first marriage as they are still living. There is an 18 year difference in age between myself and my oldest brother. I have very little information on him. Thank you for your patience for the length of this. Please do not hesitate to respond if we have any connections. Lynn
