Dear Dennis, Any form of the name Pearson can be considered a match, since phonetics were used to spell names, and nothing formal was considered necessary. Therefore, check for the name under spellings such as PERSON, PEHRSON, PEIRSON, PIERSON, etc. I have Rachel PEARSON married to Joseph RHODES. Rachel was born in about 1767/70, not sure where, and she died 29 Oct 1845. we believe she died in Lawrence Co., Alabama, but have no proof as of yet. Her father was Sullivan PEARSON, who was born in about 1736, and died before 1800. I don't know locations for any of Sullivan's vital statistics. Good luck with the search!
