SMITH RESEARCHERS: I promised myself not to get involved with Smiths, but seeing this message, I just had to give it a try. I have a David Smith born about 1782, died 10, May 1857, buried New Site, Tallapoosa Co, AL.. He married Annette Margaret Griffin and they had a daughter Nancy born in Jasper Co., GA 1822 who married Henry Milton Simpson and resided in Tallapoosa Co., AL. David & Margaret Smith also had a son Green Smith who married Henry Milton Simpson's sister in Chambers Co., AL, but she died young and he remarried. Many Simpsons had the name Green in their name. Wonder where it came from. Would love to find out more of these Smiths and be glad to share info.
