I accidentally sent my request to subscribe without the -request in the address, and got a message saying I was subscribed anyway. Amazing what those folks at Rootsweb can do. It appears to me that Larry Britt sold off all his property in Robeson County, NC, by 1838 or 1839. He is not listed in the 1840 or 1850 census for Robeson. The AIS census index on microfiche at the LDS family history center does not list Larry B Britt for 1840 or 1850 in Robeson County. It does show a L B Britt in the 1840 census for Monroe Co, GA. This film is not in our library, so I wasn't able to find out the age range etc for him. Did find this for 1850 Tallapoosa Co, AL L B Britt 50 NC Ann 37 NC John 18 nC Lewis 16 NC Anna 12 GA Nancy 6 SC Easter 4 AL Sarah 1 AL Looks to me like he was in GA by 1838 or so, that his wife died and he had remarried by 1843 or so, perhaps in SC, and then went to Tallapoosa Co. Would like to hear from anyone researching this Britt family.
