Can anyone help me in the next two days!!!! Was there ever a community in Tallapoosa County named DESOTO! MY DAR application papers for Joseph Royal Barnett came back in 1996 with "DeSoto" as the death place for Joroyal's son GLENN BARNETT - also they had marked thru my after 1870 and said "ca 1860" and I know that is incorrect as he was on the 1870 census in Coosa Co, Ala. I have tried to correct this so in years past but no results. Decided to send in application supplement paper for my daughter on Joseph Royal Barnett to CORRECT this. But need to know if there was a town named DESOTO. Janice
