posted by _Nancy Hall Hutchinson_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~alrandol/resh.htm#1384) HALL, ALLEN, JONES-- I am looking for information on a William Allen HALL who was born Feb. 5, 1868 and died March March 17, 1899 of an accidential gunshot wound, near Truitt Alabama or maybe in Randolph or Tallapoosa/Clay Counties. Maybe this was even in the Wadley Area. He married a Mary Emma JONES who had a brother named Ed, born Nov 3, 1866, and died April 30 , 1953 Lanett, Chambers Cty Alabama. Their children were William Marvin HALL - My grandfather - born Aug 10, 1888. Lillian Beatrice HALL CARSON, born Sept. 23 1890 (married Luther CARSON), Jessie Mae HALL born Jan. 5, 1893 , and Brinton Hughs HALL born Aug. 10, 1896. And last Ethel Artimecia HALL WILBANKS born March 20. 1898. Other Hall surnames given to me were A. HALL Bn May 24, 1850 and J.S HALL born Feb. 14, 1848, Died Mar. 24, 1872 ( don't know their relationship to family.) A real clue is that William Allen HALL and Mary Emman JONES worked on the Old Captain Allen Home place. I guess this was near Truit Alabama or Wadley?? Who was Captain ALLEN? Veteran of Civil War?? Mr. William Allen must have been named for Capt. John ALLEN. William Allen HALL is in unmarked grave in Old Vickers Cementery near or below Daviston and near Newsite, near Tallapoosa Cty Line. A Mrs. Claybrooks manages the Cementery / Other names mentioned as being related to the HALL - ALLEN and jones are NOLENS & MILAMS. Mr. William Allen HALL like to lead at all day singings. His widower and family moved to Chambers Cty, Lanett, sometime in early 1900. Mr. William Marvin HALL married an Addie TONEY from near Franklin Ga. His chiodren were Charles Olin HALL, Margaret HALL who was professor at Lagrange College, Troup,Cty GA. Hugh HALL, and Lucille HALL. Uncle Britt HALL Marvin's brother ran the Movie Projector in Lanett, Ala,. I heard that Emma's brother Uncle Ed JONES moved to Fla and worked for the Railroad. I was told that there are many Halls, and Allens in the Wadley area. Any clues wil be appreciated. Thank you Nancy Hall Hutchinson
