Laura, I know of these Abbotts, and they did come from Pike Co. Ga., along with the Shockley's. Some of these Abbott's, married some Carden's. My GGGrandfather was an O.H.R. or Owen N.K. Carden, from Pike Co. Ga., and I have information on some Carden's from there, and there was a Jordan Abbott. I know that some did marry Carden's from Pike Co. Ga. My Owen, was in Tallapoosa Co. after leaving Pike Co. Ga. He died during the Civil War, and his wife Nancy McLeod Carden, was in Randolph Co. Al. in 1870, and then in Chambers Co. Al. in 1880.
