The Lee Co.Archives is in Opelika, Al. not far from Auburn University. I was looking for my husbands family just came acoss the information about your family. I knew there was a connection too, because of the names. I am still trying to locate the plantation, believe it may have been in Macon Co. Al. A John Hurston, middle name may have been William (aka) Uncle Billy and his wife Lydia Catherine and 7 children did live in Macon Co. Al. Macon Co. Lee Co. are side by side to each other.
