Gosh, I live only about 10 miles from one edge of Morgan County, and I never knew any Holleys were there at all. My surname isn't Holley, but I descend from Robert Wicker (from Virginia) who married Hannah Simmons Holley (of Bertie County, North Carolina). I think some of the Holleys wound up in Cape Giradeau County, Missouri. I am pretty sure that Hannah's father was Nathaniel Holley. I have so many names running around in my head they get sort of scrambled at times. lol Robert was the son of Thomas Wicker (m. Mary Hester), Thomas's father was Benjamin Wicker. They were in New Kent County, Virginia and Greenville County, NC. Thomas Oscar Wicker came over around 1695. But your mention of Native American lines was very interesting to me. However, it has always been in my father's lines that we thought it possible. The Holleys are my mother's. I do find a John Holley in my records, but I am not sure if he is a Georgia Holley. There is a William, I believe. Mine, however, came here to Georgia after the Revolutionary War I am pretty sure. If any of these names seem familiar to you, let me know. Patricia in Georgia
