Full name was James Soloman Allen s/o Thomas GRIFFIN and Martha FRITZ, b 24 Dec 1833, d 12 June 1900, buried Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church. (visited site in 2002). James married 1 Frances J. RANSOM, b 03 Oct 1830 GA, d bet. 1854-56 prob in Tallapoosa Co, m 22 Dec 1853 in Tallapoosa Co. Unknown if there were any children from the first marriage. I presume she died in childbirth. She was the daughter of James RANSOM and Julia HOLLOWAY. On 19 January 1856, James S. A. GRIFFIN married 2 Annie E. RANSOM (sister of Frances J.). Annie was b 19 July 1835, d 12 June 1900 and is also buried in Rocky Mount Primitiave Baptist Church.
