Horsley b. 1833 are the sons of John Horsley and his first wife whose name is not known at this time. John had two other sons, born between 1825 and 1830, and two daughters, one born 1835 to 1840 and one 1825 to 1830. John Horsley and Sarah Powell were married 27Sep 1849 in Tallapoosa Co. Their sons were Henry Marion b. 1850, Leroy Moses b. 1852 and Benjamin F. b. 3 Jan 1856. Sarah was born 27 Mar 1812 in Jasper Co., GA and died 5 Jul 1860 in Youngsville ( now Alexander City), Tallapoosa Co. She was supposedly buried in the Youngsville Cemetery. Her parents were William Powell and Elizabeth Parson. Sarah Powell was previously married to Elisha William Lasseter on 14 Sep 1827 in Fayette Co., GA. Their oldest son was William Powell Lasseter b. 25 Sep 1828 in Fayette Co., GA. They had seven children, three females and four males. The five youngest children were born in Alabama, probably Tallapoosa Co. Elisha William Lasseter died in Tallapoosa Co. 23 Apr 1840 in Youngsville. Have a great day, Jack F. Shotts.
