My 3rd great-grandfather's name was James A. Beard. He was born in 1822 in AL (county unknown) but he was married twice in Tallapoosa Co. In 1841, he married Mahala Todd (apparently the daughter of James and Hattie Bailey Todd) After she died in AR, he returned to AL in 1848 to marry Molsey Robertson (born in SC, daughter of Joseph Robertson and Rebecca Hancock.) Does anyone have any other Beards (Baird, Beaird, Byrd, Bird, etc) living in Tallapoosa Co around that same time? Karen
