My John Davis and wife Rachel Greer were living in Tallapoosa Co, Ala. in 1850 and descendants continued to live there until today. But Rachel's parents Joseph and Priscilla Greer lived in the SW corner of Chambers Co, Ala. and were buried at New Harmony Presbyterian Church Cemetery. John Davis's son John Daniel Davis b.1832 SC and his wife Frances Morris Rush named his only son JOHN BELL DAVIS - HE DIED IN 1949 IN JACKSON GAP, ALA (Tallapoosa Co) I noticed in the 1860 Chambers Co, Ala census there was a JANE BELL b.1796 SC with probably daughters Rebecca, Rachel, Mary living with her. Does anyone know if she could be related to my DAVIS family??? Also, Rachel Greer Davis had a sister Frances who married Allen L. Bailey who lived in the next household in 1860.
