THANK YOU!!!! That was a quick reply! I wanted to thank him for compiling the newspaper articles from Tallapoosa Co, Ala newspaper. I found a notice where my grandparents, Robert A. Barnett and Elizabeth Davis, married 1883 at the home of her parents. My grandparents left Tallapoosa Co about 1885 driving their oxen to Texas. Stopped overnight close to Newton, Miss. and some going back east from Texas talked them out of going. So they just went north of where they were camping and stayed the rest of their lives. Grandpa went to Shamrock, Texas about 1905 to buy some land. We don't know WHY he went there! Must have been relatives living there.
