I really feel Elizabeth Jane Stewart wife of James Dickerson Scott was the sister of Joseph "Joe" Stewart from Newberry Co., SC. As I said in an earlier post, family papers said Joe Stewart had a sister who married a Scott, moved to Tallapoosa Co., AL and raised these known sons: George, Bud, Jerry & John which fits into this family line. I also find it interesting that Joe Stewart named his daughter Elizabeth. In March 2007, we are planning a conclave of researchers in Newberry Co., SC to extensive research and I plan on trying to find more information on Elizabeth Jane Stewart Scott.
